Singer/songwriter Steve Schuster has been writing and recording original classic-rock style songs for more than four decades. Born and raised in Seattle USA, Steve lives in Massachusetts where he is an avid vegan and animal rights activist. When Steve was just 13 years old, his father brought home The Beatles compilations known as “The Red Album” and “The Blue Album.” Steve played those vinyl LPs spanning the full extent of the band’s relatively short career, and as he puts it, “It is no exaggeration to say that my life was utterly transformed by those song, by that band and by that talent.”
Steve immediately dusted off an old family guitar, and didn’t stop practicing until he learned to play every single Beatles song. Finished that formative task, he began crafting his own original material as one does when one aspires to be a rock star. Many guitars and years later, Steve continues the art of songwriting and is a critically acclaimed recording artist.
Steve’s new self-published album, Unassembled Man, is out and available on all the major streaming platforms. Unassembled Man includes 12 original rock songs very much in a classic rock style that listeners say immediately “feels like home.” The tracks were recorded at Pascarella Studios in Massachusetts, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. Steve’s music covers many different styles, but every song evokes a retro, classic-rock style vibe reminiscent of bands like The Beatles, R.E.M., Badfinger and The Byrds, featuring a wide variety of topics for intelligent listening, meaning these lyrics are painstakingly crafted to be thought-provoking and compelling.
